Congratulations to Louise Els

A phase I thought I would never write - “I am behind on my correspondence.” As summer became in June I had the good intention of reflecting on our fabulous year together. I did but not in a way that left my head. I got distraction by friends, gardening, and my first favourite season, Summer. All the way back in June we had the pleasure of discussing Lies I Told My Sister with Louise Els. Her beautifully crafted novel caused me to reflect and get in touch with some personal memories. She encouraged us to reach out to a friend or two to enjoy our human connections. I am so thrilled to have created a connection with Louise she is definitely a very generous and talented lady. I received a note from her recently and it is great news! Here is the message below:

Dear Alison,

Lies I Told My Sister has appeared on a Bestseller list! This is 100% because of your generosity in inviting me to speak at An Appetite For Reading, and ordering copies through Wordsworth Books in Waterloo.

I am so chuffed, and so grateful to you.

I hope you're enjoying this glorious weather and having a fabulous summer.

Thank you!

Cheers,

Louise
